Isaiah 49:15-16 "Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely, they may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands."

Today I want to speak a simple message that every believer needs to hear from time to time There are seasons when life is wonderful. Prayers are answered. Blessings are evident. Joy fills our hearts.

But there are also seasons when we wonder where God is. We pray and the answer seems delayed. We cry and heaven seems silent. We wait and nothing appears to change.

Many faithful people in the Bible experienced those feelings. David felt forgotten. Job felt forgotten. Joseph felt forgotten. Even the disciples wondered if Jesus had forgotten them when the storm threatened to sink their boat. Yet throughout Scripture we discover one great truth:.

Isaiah was speaking to a people who were discouraged. Their nation was broken. Their future seemed uncertain. Many believed God had abandoned them. Isaiah 49:14 says: "But Zion said, 'The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me.'"

Notice that this was not God's statement. This was the people's statement. Sometimes what we feel and what is true are two different things. Feelings are real. But feelings are not always accurate. God answered them with compassion: "I will not forget you."

What a wonderful promise. Not "I might remember." Not "I will try to remember." But "I will not forget."

Genesis 8:1 says: "Then God remembered Noah." For months Noah had been floating on a flood-covered earth. No land. No direction. No certainty. Just waiting. Then Scripture says: "God remembered Noah." This does not mean God had forgotten and suddenly remembered. It means God began moving according to His plan.

Many believers are in a "Noah season." You are waiting. Praying. Trusting. Wondering. But God knows exactly where you are. The same God who remembered Noah remembers you.

Joseph had dreams from God. But before the dream came the pit. Then slavery. Then false accusations. Then prison. Years passed. Surely Joseph must have wondered what happened to God's promise. Yet God never forgot him. At the right moment Joseph was brought before Pharaoh. In a single day his life changed. The prison became a palace. The forgotten man became a ruler. God's timing is different from our timing. We often want immediate answers. God works according to eternal wisdom.

Then there was Hannah she longed for a child. Year after year she prayed. Year after year she wept. People misunderstood her pain. Yet she continued to seek God. 1 Samuel 1:19 says: "And the Lord remembered her." Soon Hannah gave birth to Samuel. Never underestimate what God can do after a season of waiting. A delayed answer is not a denied answer.

Throughout His ministry Jesus noticed those others ignored. He saw blind beggars. He saw lepers. He saw widows. He saw outcasts. He saw sinners. He saw the lonely. He saw the brokenhearted. While crowds passed them by, Jesus stopped. Why? Because God notices people. The world may overlook you. God never does.

The Woman With the Issue of Blood For twelve years she suffered. Twelve years of pain. Twelve years of disappointment. Twelve years of isolation. Then she touched the hem of Jesus' garment. Immediately healing came. But Jesus did something remarkable. He stopped and looked for her. Why? Because she was not just another face in the crowd. She mattered. You matter to God. Your tears matter. Your struggles matter. Your prayers matter.

Then there was Blind Bartimaeus who sat at the side of the road. Many ignored him, Many told him to be quiet. But he cried out: "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" The crowd wanted silence. Jesus wanted faith. And Jesus stopped. Imagine that. The Savior of the world stopped because one hurting man called His name. Never believe your voice is too small for God to hear.

Jesus said in John 10:14: "I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep." A shepherd knows every sheep; He knows their condition. He knows their weaknesses; He knows when one is missing. He knows when one is injured. Jesus knows you. He knows your fears. He knows your needs. He knows your future.

Isaiah 43:1 says: "I have called you by your name; you are Mine." What comfort there is in that verse. God knows your name. Among billions of people on earth, He knows your name. He knows where you live. He knows your struggles. He knows your dreams. He knows every detail of your life. Nothing escapes His attention.

Psalm 56:8 says: "You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle." Every tear matters to God. The tears no one else sees. The tears shed in private. The tears of grief. The tears of disappointment. The tears of prayer. God sees them all. Not one tear is wasted.

Many times we cannot see God working. Joseph could not see it in prison. Moses could not see it in the wilderness. David could not see it while running from Saul. Yet God was working. Just because God is silent does not mean God is absent. He is always working.

If you ever wonder whether God remembers you, look at the cross. There Jesus suffered for our sins. There He displayed the greatest love the world has ever known. Romans 5:8 says:” But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." The cross forever answers the question of God's love.

Three days after the crucifixion the tomb was empty. Death was defeated. Sin was conquered. Hope was restored. The resurrection reminds us that no situation is beyond God's power. If God can raise Jesus from the dead, He can handle whatever we face.

So, What Should We Do While Waiting? Continue praying. Continue believing. Continue worshiping. Continue serving. Continue trusting. Galatians 6:9 says: "And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart." Your due season is coming.

Many small churches like ours wonder if they matter. Perhaps attendance is small. Perhaps resources are limited. Perhaps growth seems slow. But remember this: God has always used small things. A shepherd boy defeated a giant. A small lunch fed thousands. A tiny mustard seed became a great tree. Never measure God's work only by numbers. Measure it by faithfulness. Jesus said: "I will build My church." Not "might build." Not "try to build." "I will build." The future of the church rests in God's hands. Our responsibility is faithfulness. His responsibility is the increase.

When circumstances are difficult, keep looking up. When answers are delayed, keep looking up. When strength is low, keep looking up. Psalm 121:1-2 says: "I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord." And God's Promises Never Fail People fail. Governments fail. Economies fail. Plans fail. But God's promises never fail. Every promise He has spoken remains true. You can trust His Word.

One Day We Will Understand There are questions we cannot answer today. Why did certain trials came. Why do some prayers seemed delayed. Why were some roads difficult. But one day we will see clearly. One day we will understand. One day every mystery will make sense in God's presence.

Hear this today: God has not forgotten you. He has not forgotten your family. He has not forgotten your prayers. He has not forgotten your church. He has not forgotten your future. The same God who remembered Noah, Joseph, Hannah, David, and countless others remembers you today. His eye is upon you, His hand is upon you, His love surrounds you. Keep trusting, keep praying, keep believing. Because God's story for your life is not finished yet.

If you have felt forgotten, discouraged, weary, or burdened.  Let today be the day you bring those concerns to the Lord. Lay every fear at His feet. Lay every unanswered prayer before Him. Lay every disappointment before Him. Remember His promise in Hebrews 13:5 "I will never leave you nor forsake you." And Today God is reminding you His people:

"I have not forgotten you." Amen.
